Is your company trying to do the impossible by performing this?
Would you spend thousands of dollars trying to sell bags of sand in a desert?
Perhaps you would put advertisements for your course on tax law and estate planning on the Cartoon Television Network?
Not to say that you WOULDN’T market any products undertaking the above, but I think you would agree there would be much better “targeted marketing and advertising channels” that would have a additional responsive audience.
Well the same goes for your current promoting strategy, do you know if your advertising and marketing is hitting your desired audience?
This does go back a bit to my previous emails regarding measuring your marketing’s effectiveness, and tracking its results, but also just in general…are you marketing and advertising in the right places?
For example, should you are sending out coupons and flyers to particular locations near your small business, just because they’re near your company, do you know for a fact the men and women in these locations meet your target market description?
I mean, you wouldn’t send out carpet cleaning flyers to low-income renters, in various apartments, just because they’re across the street from your carpet cleaning company.
Why?
Because you can already tell that the chances of somebody paying money to clean a carpet that they don’t own, when they barely have enough to pay the bills as is, is very slim to none.
So prior to you decide to just send out marketing material, and wait for the tracking outcomes to come back, take the time to identify if your even advertising to the proper area, or demographics, and yourself some time and wasted money.
By doing proper exploration into an audience demographic, or residential location demographic, you will know (Before spending your income) whether it is a wise investment or not.
A little research goes a long way!
